 What started as a dream in Alliyah’s heart has blossomed into a beautiful reality for the York family. With 10 years of experience in hospitality and administration, Alliyah has always had a passion for creating meaningful experiences and welcoming spaces. Her husband, Josh, has been her biggest supporter, believing in her vision from the start and working alongside her to bring it to life.

Together with their daughter Abagale, the York's pray this venue is a reflection of their love for the countryside, where peace, simplicity, and natural beauty come together. They believe every couple deserves a place that feels like home, a place to start forever surrounded by what matters most.

This isn’t just a wedding venue to them, it’s a legacy. And who knows? Maybe one day, Abagale will say “I do” right here too.

 Your hosts at Pleasant Grove Farm are Mark and Chirelle McConnel.  The parents of 8 children, they are no strangers to the personal and emotional investment made when you plan a wedding!  Chirelle grew up on a Ranch in Wyoming, so she feels right at home on the farm outside Richmond, where Mark spent his youth.  Both have lived internationally as well as many locations in the US and it seems that they always find some connection with guests who visit the farm.  Chirelle’s education centered on outdoor recreation management and early childhood development, while Mark began his career in architecture almost 5 decades ago.  Families, adventures, and making things happen are the joys they love to share.
